Novotalk is an online and on-demand, self-directed tele-therapy solution, which allows stutterers to learn, practice, gain, and maintain fluent speech remotely, independently and discretely, throughout their lives.
Novotalk is an affordable, patent-pending, web-based/mobile application providing self-directed speech therapy and training to people who stutter.
Individuals who use Novotalk on an ongoing basis, experience fluent speech, which for them, is a life changing experience.
The philosophy behind our approach is the secret blend, that stops the “vicious cycle”, as we dubbed it, between emotional components and physical ones, while using validated approaches on both ends, which can be transferred to technology.
Most importantly, applying the approach as a lifelong solution, not a one-off course or a tool.
Novotalk provides an internet-based speech training system that is tailored to meet each stutterer’s individual therapy needs. Based on a validated speech fluency method, it presents the user with a variety of words and phrases to utter, then, using a patent-pending, real-time speech pattern analyzer, it provides visual feedback, comparing the recorded speech with a predefined standard. It identifies the differences and the factors causing them defines the errors and recommends ways to correct them. Since no two people who stutter are exactly the same, the Novotalk system studies the user’s performance and adapts exercises and methods for his/her specific speech fluency level continuously, while emphasizing the elements that are still problematic.
Coupled with a mobile trainning system they’ll use for the rest of their lives, and online practice community of peers, Novotalk becomes a very effective substitute for more traditional treatment paradigms, with maximum availability and accessibility, at an affordable price, with long-lasting results.

Moshe Roth, a stutterer since childhood, tried many different fluency approaches over the years without any noticeable improvement in his speech fluency. A few years ago, he participated in a course in which he learned the basic tools and principles of fluency shaping. By the middle of the course, he experienced a significant improvement in his speech fluency. However, a few weeks after the end of the course, his speech deteriorated once again, and he understood that without structured practice, using the appropriate tool, he would not be able to maintain fluent speech over time.
In 2014, Moshe and his partners founded Novotalk, a company which among other recognitions was awarded a development grant from the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Israel Ministry of the Economy. Novotalk developed a unique product in the field of stuttering therapy which makes learning the principles of fluency shaping more accessible. The technological innovations at the heart of the product were developed by a staff of speech language pathologists and programming engineers, in cooperation with stutterers who tested the early versions of the product. This three-pronged approach led to the creation of a system that provides a comprehensive framework for the stutterer in the therapy process – starting from the learning of the therapeutic principles, continuing with support in the process of application and generalization into spontaneous speech, and ending with providing tools that aid in maintaining long-term results.
